Normally, I am not patriotic.
Normally, I'm about the farthest thing from patriotic I can be without being anarchist.
But there are some things that just rub my fur the wrong way, so to speak. There are some things that I just... I want to... I just... gah.
Like the local news thinking that it was more important to mention it was National Bubblegum Day or some such bullshit than that it was the anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
"This is a day that shall live in infamy," president Roosevelt said. I wonder how he would feel today, knowing that most schoolchildren are not taught the date of Pearl Harbor until the eighth grade, but Columbus day - well, we can't forget that.
Check your priorities, America.

Aye, I agree. Americans should get their priorities straight. We all should, no matter what country we're from. Some things just get me riled up to, mainly when people forget where they came from, and forget about honor. And the lives sacrificed for freedoms that we often take for granted... You voiced this well.
